A decision to follow Jesus is personal, and in some places it can be dangerous. We collect as little as we can and protect what we keep.
What we collect when you record a decision
- The date and time of your decision.
- Your first name and email, only if you give them and agree to this policy.
- Your age range. We do not keep a name or email for anyone under 13.
- Your approximate city, region and country, based on your internet connection or what you type. We round the location to about 10 km and never store an exact position or your IP address.
- Your choices about emails and the world map.
How we use it
- To show a light near your city on the public world map, if you allow it. The map never shows names or emails.
- In some countries where Christians face danger, we never show a light, a city or a pop-up. Those decisions only count toward totals.
- To send the emails you asked for, such as the 21-day devotional and a yearly spiritual birthday note. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
We never sell your information. We do not use advertising trackers.
When you visit
We count page views and button clicks per day. When you open a page, we also note the city your connection comes from, so the map can show that people are visiting from around the world. We never store your IP address, use cookies for this, or link it to you. City records are deleted after 30 days, and we skip countries where Christians face danger.
Your choices
You can record a decision anonymously. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your record by writing to info@forgiven.me.
Where it is stored
Records are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider. To prevent spam we keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your connection for up to 24 hours, then delete it.
